Waves and wind

LH and I took a walk along the beach. The tangles had attracted quite a variety of birds all seeking goodies lurking within. The sea was still pounding the beach after the recent stormy weather and had produced a new shelf of sand. The occasional larger wave managed to climb the shelf, leaving a wonderful silvery wash of water behind.

We headed into the dunes to the back of the beach so as not to disturb all the foraging birds for a large group of birdwatchers that had appeared. The dunes are covered in tiny snailshells, really lovely up close (extra). So much sand is deposited here that a boat's cabin that was on the beach a decade ago is now well into the dune system.

An afternoon on my workroom of filing misc sewing-related paperwork that built up whilst the house in Shropshire was being sold and which hadn't a suitable home until recently. A good opportunity to get off my feet, particularly as Berry thwacked my sprained knee (totally my fault) when we were having a good, rollicking training session after we arrived back from the beach. It's now back to square one in terms of healing. Very, very frustrating
