Daffy

Clearly if Poppy is going to name a duck then there is a good chance it will be Daffy, it has a friend who has been named Quackers. There are quite a few ducks in the river but these are by far the tamest, I do wonder if they are the ones we were feeding last year. We've started feeding them (and the trout in the river) so hopefully if they have ducklings then we'll have yet more livestock (Poppy has a rule that is any animal that is in our garden is automatically our pet).

H and I have taken down the old chicken run today. This has really opened the garden up, all we need to do now is burn the huge bonfire and we'll have an unobstructed view right down the garden for the first time since we bought the house. Oddly enough the people who live opposite over the river have started planting bushes and trees so they can't see us!
