NËRP'S LAW OF CHRONOTICS

There was great excitement – verging on hysteria – when we all gathered round the tv to watch the live Euromillions draw.
All except for Nërp, who was very calm – I assumed this was because he'd seen the future and already knew the winning numbers – but also strangely reticent and glum.
When the numbers were drawn not a single one of them was correct!
Wilson turned slowly to Nërp and demanded an explanation.
Nërp shuffled his feet a bit, then began apologetically, 'I'm afraid it's due to the law of chronotics, which states: any predicted future cannot occur because it was predicted – I'm sorry, but it's one of the immutable laws of Quantum Physics. If you need a scapegoat, blame Heisenberg, not me!'
