Albert Bridge….in the sun!

Today I joined some friends for a cycle ride along the south bank of the Thames to Battersea Power Station where we had lunch at a new restaurant called Megan’s ( a small chain in south London which are dog friendly!) and then over Vauxhall bridge and along the north bank.
Although it was very cold at first ( about 4C) I have it was sunny with blue skies as per the photo. This is the first time I have been along the path on the south of the river and I was surprised that there are only a few sections where there is no towpath and you have to go round eg Battersea Heliport.
The redevelopment of Battersea Power Station seems in its last phase as all the scaffolding has been removed. We also passed Embassy Gardens and the new American Embassy.

Albert Bridge is one of the prettiest London Bridges and originally was a toll bridge . The two octagonal toll booths still remain. It has had many repairs over the years but is the only London bridge apart fromTower bridge  that has not been replaced.
