Captain's Log

She is lying on the oak timbers which have been made from the wood I blipped on 1st March.

What I said then about the building procedure was incorrect. The knotching of the keel is nearly complete. These timbers will be steamed and bent into place before planking starts. The timbers need to be in place so that the planks can be fixed to them.

What I previously described is how a clinker-built boat is done - the planking first followed by the insertion of the timbers.
