MonoMonday: Fact or Fiction

These are the Bleichert Wheels which were manufactured in about 1882 in Leipzig, Germany and originally used to haul coal near Katoomba and later shale in the Megalong Valley.
Keith Duncan, from a pioneering family of the valley, rescued them from destruction by scrap metal dealers in 1944 and erected them near the Tearooms in the Megalong Valley in the late 1980s.

This is a bit of fact to surprise you for ApolloFly's MM theme this week. 
It surprised me a bit too as although I've driven past them hundreds of times, I never stopped to read the information notice or photograph them!
