The Helford River at Gweek

This morning we headed east towards Falmouth. I liked this view from the road so I parked up and walked back to take a couple of shots. We drove on to the seal sanctuary, which is just through the woods on the far side of my shot. We looked in at the hospital to see a few of the young seals that are being treated there then went on to the pools where many of the seals that are unable to be returned to the sea are kept. Our visit coincided with feeding so it was good to be able to get some shots as they waited for their fish. Some of the local gulls have got quite good at stealing the fish too. I've added an extra of a common seal.

We went on to Falmouth where we had lunch and got a few bits we needed. The weather might have been a little better today but there were still a few of rain showers coming through.
