Raindrops

Raindrops kept falling on our heads late this morning as we met up with some friends for a walk around Bicton Park.  Some of the trees were glistening with the light catching on the raindrops.  It was quite spectacular in some areas but difficult to capture.  We sheltered for some time in the bird hide where we watched as coal tits, robins and nuthatches competed with squirrels over the food in the bird table and feeders.  Several pheasants were feeding on the seeds that fell to the ground and we also watched a tree creeper climbing up a nearby tree.

By the time we came out of the hide the rain had stopped and we wandered back around the park and then had lunch in the cafe.  As we hadn't seen each other for a couple of months there was a lot to catch up on.  Glad I managed a sprint cycle class first thing this morning as I was fairly cold and damp by the time we returned home.
