St Mary and St Nicholas Church

This beautiful Italianate church typical of churches in Tuscany, Italy faces southwest instead of the usual eastwards - built in 1845 by The Hon Sidney HERBERT who adorned Italian architecture  - the Architect was 34 year old Thomas Henry WYATT.  The cost of the church was £20,000 a huge sum in 1845
The church is truly beautiful - and I was fortunate to have the whole church to myself - a treasured time to be close the GOD

Have added a few extras

TRULY I WAS NOT IN ITALY BUT WILTON IN WILTSHIRE
