Windblown

The MV Albert was docking, sending a small swell to the shoreline. I stood and watched for a moment as the big boat swung round to reverse in. There were few wanes in the bay today, just the fluffing up of the sea surface by the scudding wind.

All very peaceful! I was taking a break from housework which I felt I could no longer neglect when the surface on the bedside cabinet felt gritty and I trod on a bit if gravel in my bare feet. I had a present to post and milk bottles to be filled at the shop so it was as good an excuse as any to nip out for a while.

My sister and her immediate family have booked their overnight stay for LD and D's wedding. It feels a long way away but no doubt it'll all come rushing at us like a train!!
