Tools of the Trade

The duck registers the surface sea temperature, the tiny hot water bottle fits perfectly into the inside pocket of my Dry Robe and the large one under my jumper once I’m home.

With the Dook, reading the thank you letters from the Yorkshire grandsons, organising a Bacs payment for my income tax and taking a Zoom call with friends I’ve made from Maggie’s because we can’t meet in a café, Tuesday appears to be done and dusted. The small people observe the rules which the big people make and then ignore.

With the continuing sunny weather, I am acutely aware of my dirty windows inside. It’s time I did some window cleaning. With very few people having been inside my house for 2 years, my true nature has been allowed to emerge.
