War of the Ivy

Left unchecked, ivy can choke the life out of trees, so today I went to war. I cut it off of seven poplars, two firs, and one big, gnarly pine. It felt like good work in the gray day, dry but a cold wind out of the south. The trees are breathing easier tonight.
