Half an hour after taking this photo, I put Rani inside that box and drove her to the vet to be vaccinated. She was not amused.

But it’s done now. The vet told me that Rani needs to lose weight, which I knew. It’s just not easy to keep her from finishing off every scrap of food the others leave behind.

In other news, my mother’s live-in carer was supposed to get relieved on Saturday, with another Polish carer taking over for a month. Today I got an email saying the new carer has tested positive for Covid-19 and can’t come. And the agency can’t tell me when someone else will be found and sent, or if at all, because so many people are infected or quarantined…
