Scenic road

This road used to be one of the most scenic in the Peak District. The trouble is the land it was built on wasn’t that stable and despite numerous repairs over the years the council decided it wasn’t worth repairing anymore. That was quite a few years ago and the road continues to fall apart, but you can still walk along it.
The area we were in today was the Castleton area of the Peak District, a really lovely place with some fantastic views. We didn’t go up on to Mam Tor today, but never the less the views and scenery we saw were wonderful.
The downside today was that Darren managed to lose his driving glasses. He’d popped them on top of his head while eating a sandwich in the car, he’d then forgotten they were there, got out of car, got me out of back, then gone for walk and they’ve fallen off. He did look for them but couldn’t find them.
