I don't know if this is the Jabberwock or not, but I'm not going any closer in case there are jaws that bite!

The village is deserted today, they've all gone on the annual eat and drink as much as you can event pilgrimage to a local hermita, with those so inclined walking the 16k to get there, and another 13k back if they're still standing.
