Living my dream

Prepared

Look what arrived in the post today, courtesy of the lovely Tivoli.

The nasty blockage in the underground mail-pipe that runs from the rest of the world to NZ has suddenly been removed, and I’m receiving Xmas cards, a present and a Birthday card.

Tivoli kindly sent this yellow raincoat having learnt that Bean hates rain falling onto her. It will be just the ticket for summer rain, once I’ve perfected fitting it to Bean’s body. It is waterproof and has a lovely cotton lining which means she won’t overheat. (She already has a thick fleece-lined coat for winter.)

The extra is my favourite view up the Waitaki River toward Mount Dommet from Bortons Pond. No chance of rain today.

3kg raspberries picked. And 1 huge cauliflower.
