He weathered covid. He weathered the loss of his beloved Patsy. And now he puts his all into being our Dad.

It’s time to share a little more of our journey. Lewey Body Parkinson’s is not a straight road. It’s a twisty, windy, hilly, messy road. We have been through some dips in the road. We hit pot holes of one size & depth or another every day. Moment by moment things can change so much. We treasure him. We treasure our own growth as we are stewards of this amazing man and all the gifts God has poured into him, especially the incredible self control he has been given as he surrenders to riding this road with us and being the best Dad he can be along the way. Godliness with contentment truly is great gain. (1 Timothy 6:6)
His mind is very clear right now. He’s planning and thinking and coping and loving. He’s plunging himself into his favorite hobby, rock hounding, by watching YouTube channels of rock hounds, and believing there is always a hope he will get better enough to enjoy rock hounding himself again. Nothing is impossible. Absolutely nothing is too difficult for the One who molds and shapes our lives through the pressures and fiery trials we experience, not unlike how He turns tumult, temperature changes and pressure into the most beautiful agates and gem stones.
