Clearing out bookshelves; donating the paperbacks for which I can get ebook versions .. the bits take a lot less space than the paper.  

Cycled to the pool, donated some more clothes.

Antonia Byatt - Possession may have been the first of hers I read, then I read everything I could that she had written. Strongly recommended.  
Albert Camus - read once, worth doing for an idea of his work.
Angela Carter - thinking I must have read Nights at the Circus first, though it isn't here.
Raymond Chandler - atmospheric settings, classic detective story writing
Bruce Chatwin - more magical realism 
G K Chesterton - Father Brown More detective stories.
