A Dovey Puffball

January is a good time for photographing mourning doves in Auntie's tree.  On a cold morning there may be 4-6 of them sitting there all puffed up.  The light was just perfect showing off their beautiful coloring, soft feathers and two pink toes.  A bit warmer today but tomorrow we are back in the deep freeze and a major storm is predicted for Sunday night through Monday.  Oh well, it is January in Maine after all.
