It’s the middle of winter…

But still plenty of window boxes to brighten even this neglected area of town.
Just around the corner a short area of footpath has ‘footpath closed’ signs blocking each end and directing people along this little venelle. The only thing blocking the footpath is a third ‘footpath closed’ sign. So the question is… were the pedestrians diverted so they could admire the window boxes or were the window boxes put up to divert attention from the extra unnecessary walk around the houses?
