A Dozen Frozen Chamois

Firstly, thanks for all the good wishes for Preston. We left at 06:45 this morning to get him to Lausanne. It was awful abandoning him with a stranger. The good news is that they have managed to give him his replacement but apparently it was not straightforward, whatever that means. Now he is in hospital till Monday when the surgeon will telephone us to say if we can pick him up.

Our local chamois herd had come out of the forest to graze on the field above the vineyards as we returned home. A busy day thereafter but feeling exhausted from the Preston tension so an early night is in order.

Have a good weekend everyone, stay safe.
