Beddington Park: Juvenile Little Grebe

Definitely fwuffier in large

Im and I went to check out Beddington Farmlands, a huge area of land and wetlands between Beddington Park and Mitcham Common; it looks like it has potential, but the very limited access (paths only along one edge, outside the fences), high fencing, and gravel-floored hides made it less than ideal for spotting wildlife.
We took at look at the River Wandle in Beddington Park, and spotted two adult little grebe and three juveniles (being driven away by the adults). This was one of the juveniles and seemed keen to remain with its parents, even if they were having it.

Others here (or right from Shovelers)
