Spiny Flower Mantis

Been a really lazy day. This morning I took the mantis out to have a look at him. He's much more colourful now. He was completely black and very small when we brought him home. He's now really colourful but he is still quite small at about 1cm. Pushes my macro to (my) limits! He'll grow to about 5cm so he should be easier to photograph soon.

Went into town to pick Lynn up. Uni's all shut up for the holiday and she can't get access to the practice rooms, so lots of saxophone for the next few days. Maybe I can persuade her to do some cooking too!
