Anemone

The bunch of anemones looked lovely last week but when I came in at lunchtime this flower was almost kissing the window ledge. I've noticed before that the stems, although looking strong, can sometimes appear to collapse.

I took this flower from the vase and very carefully threaded a skewer up the very bendy stem and very gradually the head lifted and we headed outside for a photograph.

As you can see today has been lovely .... so much nicer than yesterday.
