Phoenix Supermarket

A few months before we moved here in 2020 the only supermarket in town burned to the ground following an electrical fault.  Fortunately no-one was hurt and the owners fairly soon erected a temporary structure in what had been the car park to replace it.  Work has finally started to rebuild the supermarket and so that we can keep an eye on progress the contractors have cut a few windows into the hoarding surrounding the site.  Unfortunately, they have then dumped a pile of rubble in front of this one so there is little to see.  I’m not sure when it will reopen but whilst the current one in a large marquee is handy, it will be good to have a fully stocked local shop back in town.
