A murmuration of starlings.

What an incredible display of starlings. We drove just near Pewsey where there were a group of people waiting to see the show. A few hundred birds arrived, then another few hundred then a thousand and then another thousand and eventually there must have been tens of thousands of birds. My picture is just of a small group of them.

´Just before dusk, small groups of starlings from the same area come together above a communal roosting site. The group grows ever larger, moving in unison in an aerial dance that casts gorgeous shapes against the waning daylight.´
