Actually - they might well not be really a mated pair. But there are at least four pairs of cardinals out there today eating - along with a gazillion other birds. Snow is coming down fast. We're at four or more inches now (4:30 PM) - it's coming down at about an inch/minute - and no sign of it stopping any time soon. The bad thing is it's supposed to change to ice and/or freezing rain before it stops. That will be a mess. Keeping up with the bird seed situation is pretty impossible. Every time I clear off a spot it's covered up again in about 5 minutes.
