Catkins, culled from a bunch of wilting flowers.
My befriending calls were cancelled today, so I phoned dear daughter instead. 
I did some sewing but stopped because the dusk has come on and it’s too hard to see the thread against the dark patterned fabric. 
I’m going to prepare dinner early because D is starting a new online course this evening. 
I listened to a dramatisation of ‘The Good Companions’ by Priestly on BBC Sounds while doing chores. It’s a gentle and cheerful tale of theatre folk. Just the thing for ironing.
