Great Crested Grebe

Quite a choice of photos today, but the clearest was this one of a Great Crested Grebe. There were two fairly close together, but while the other coasted around enjoying life and the early evening sunshine, this one appeared to be busy gathering nest material.

Reminds me of the story of Mary and Martha, one busy preparing a meal for everyone and getting agitated because the other chose to sit and listen to Jesus.
See Luke 10:38-42 for the fuller version of the story. There is a place for busyness and a place for sitting and listening. The secret seems to be in choosing the right thing at any given time, and giving others scope to make a different choice. Quite a challenge!
