Wolf Moon

Hurrah! A full moon and a clear sky on the same evening! Tonight's is always a special one, being the first of the new year. Called the Wolf Moon after the howling of hungry wolves lamenting the scarcity of food in midwinter, it's also known as the Old Moon and Ice Moon.
