Perfect Lighting

Part of our tour of the National Museums Collection Centre included a visit to the photographic department, where demonstrations were set up to show how a variety of artefacts, including a geological specimen, porcelain figures and hand-blocked wallpaper as well as this vase, is photographed for publicity purposes, using appropriate lighting and digital technology.

This is a part of the permanent collection, entitled Fishnet Twister, made in Devon by Bob Crooks, a beautiful piece and, as you can see, perfectly lit.
