Hardneck or softneck?

I finally got around to planting the garlic today. Two varieties, one hardneck and one softneck, one for planting in the autumn and one for planting in the spring. So I'm late and early today, but I have discovered that the usual best time for planting on the allotment is when you have time. As one of my allotment mates is always saying "They have two chances".

The extra is just there to remind me which varieties I have planted.
