Paul’s Book

I was a latecomer in my appreciation for the Beatles.  In the mid 60's, I was listening to Miles, Horace Silver, Basie, and Brubeck.  I was however, in a band at that time  and we did cover a couple of their big tunes.  On For No One, I played the french horn interlude on flugelhorn.

I received Paul McCartney's double book as a gift and am enjoying it.  It's all of his songs, in alph order, with stories and pictures about each.  I put on my headset, go to one of my musical sources, and listen to each song as I read about it.  Fun.  Right now, I'm in the C's.  So many of these tunes have become part of the standard literature, and continue to be played in their own way, like this one, from the "B" list.
