House calls

Today I went with Dr. Miguel on one of his weekly house visits. Dr. Miguel Guevara, a rural doctor from Guayaquil, Ecuador who is stationed in Isabela for a year, is in charge of the Ministry of Public Health's program for people with disabilities and the elderly. Every week Dr. Miguel visits patients who fit this profile at their homes and gives them a regular check up.
