Seagulls on ice.

A sharp frost hit over night, although cold the sun shone in an azure sky. My daughter called round having dropped her husband off at the station. We decided to go for a walk to the nearby common. We talked about her pregnancy, her first child, her physiotherapy course and plans for a family gathering. It was lovely to have her all to myself for a change. When we reached the black pond we found it had iced over and the gulls were walking on instead of swimming in the water.
Finished our walk at the local farm shop with hot chocolate and croissants.
Grateful today for conversations with Aimee, bright skies and fresh air.
