Veg Box

I get strangely excited by the arrival of our weekly veg box on a Thursday evening. Today’s more unusual items include Kohlrabi which I can’t recall ever dealing with before but no doubt Ottolenghi will surprise me with a recipe that favours ingredients such as roasted pomegranate seeds and Syrian date syrup, meaning another trip to the Waitrose Help Desk over the weekend. It’s been very cold again today so have hardly ventured outdoors which is probably just as well as it made me concentrate on work more than I perhaps would have done otherwise. I am getting so little exercise at the moment due to my various minor ailments. Very frustrating.
