A Hawk Kind of Morning

A pair (I assume) of Red-shouldered hawks were on the hunt in our front yard this morning. As I watched they seemed to take turns swooping down on their intended prey, without success.  I got a few decent shots using the lens that I usually walk with. Then I went into the house and put a larger lens on. I took 30-40 shots then decided to leave them to their hunting. The sky has been overcast all morning which helped with the color saturation.
*Pond Update: for anyone curious as to the health and well-being of our Comet Goldfish. I saw nine this morning so it seems that everyone is accounted for! :)
