Red river walk

Its not a river.. too narrow and it's not red ( although the clay is quite reddish ) but it's been there for at least 1000 years as it was the source of water  for the monks in Furness Abbey. Its cuts deeply into the earth but I've seen it overflow before now.

Another lovely mild day in the sunshine. We took our time as it was so pleasant.

On the way back I noticed Fletch was limping  .. I thought it was the signs of old age but on investigation hed a large stone embedded in the middle of his paw. He really is uncomplaing. Once removed he skipped along with more energy than me!

Blip extra shows The Red River, main blip is of some of the many Teasels that have grown in the last year.. against a lovely blue January sky
