Dixon's Chimney

I’ve passed this Carlisle landmark so many times over the last few weeks and months it was about time I Blipped it.

Shaddon cotton mill and chimney - built by Peter Dixon in 1836.

The late Fred Dibnah was on the telly last night. Shimmying up a ladder on a similar chimney, no safety gear, no ropes, bag swinging on his back.
