Green Flower

For Thich Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamese Buddhist monk who died today at the age of 95, in Hue, Vietnam. When I think of him, his human transparency and philosophical clarity come to mind. His ideas have always been easy to grasp, the steps he recommended, easy to follow. He was a peace activist and a mindfulness advocate. I’m grateful that a dear friend gave me his book “Peace is Every Step,” a while ago. This was the beginning of a new daily practice. It was when I started seeing the universe in the beauty of a flower.
