Friday: Part Of The Packing

I had a day off today to take care of domestic stuff.  First order of the day was to get my booster - I’ve had Moderna.  Many of my colleagues have suffered real side effects with it, apparently starting at the 12 hour mark.  I’m currently at the 11 hour mark and doing ok - fingers crossed that it lasts.

A good part of the day was spent packing and sorting.  I like to be a bit coy about future plans (it’s the blip equivalent of a cliff hanger!) but, for those who’ve asked, I’d describe our departure as soon but not imminent.  Nonetheless, after 5 1/2 years, there’s a lot to do so we’ve started in good time.

It’s also complicated as we have to:

- pack up the house, the contents of which we won’t see until September/October;
- pack for a holiday we’re taking ;
- pack for our short term adventure (which is not the same as our holiday)
- pack for the first month or so of our long term adventure, pending the arrival of our household effects;
- Bear in mind that short term and long term adventures are in very different climates and seasons;
- Accommodate a very needy cat who doesn’t really understand;

We’ve got several different cases on the go.  But Barney is helping, as you can see. Either that, or it’s a protest movement.

After our various logistical movements, we had two choices.  Either lie down in a dark room and whimper or go out for sushi, so we chose the latter.
