Quirky interiors

Went to Charleston farmhouse and walked through the boho decor painted by the Bloomsbury Group characters that used to live there in the early 20th century. This door was painted by Duncan Grant, part time lover of Vanessa Bell, sister of Virginia Woolf. The lower half had to be painted twice as the children of Duncan kicked out the bottom half while playing. The house is amazingly well restored and looked after. Afterwards went for a circular walk around Alfriston-very muddy- and then back home for curry with cornbread
