Low Tide!!

Not that this stretch of the river is tidal...

The water level in this navigable stretch of the River Stour at Flatford has been lowered to help with the removal of a rotten wooden footbridge about 1 mile upstream.

I recall the bridge being delivered into place back in the 1980s by Chinook, as can be seen on the East Bergholt Society website and in the local rag East Anglian Daily Times. Like bridges, time flies and hopefully a new replacement can be afforded in the near future.
