Afternoon drive

Had a short drive to get a blip of Preston Tower in neighbouring Prestonpans.

The tower was originally built in the 14th century, with a further 2 stories added in 1626. The tower has also been burnt out a few times, most notably in 1650 by Oliver Cromwell’s troops. Quite some history.

Anyway, it’s all very peaceful now and there is a lovely laburnum arch, which looks lovely in late spring time.

I hope you are having a great Sunday.
