Common Enchantments

Cheers to 50 years

Our 50th high school reunion was a joy filled and fun evening.   Everyone there was so happy to be able to laugh about the old school days and reflect on how far we have come.   We had good food and   toasted our class after we sang our Alma Mater.  This song was led by four members of our class choir.    There were lots of chuckles as many had to look at the words printed on the back of our program.

We had  last minutes cancellations and no shows but we knew that would happen as Covid is still hanging around.   We started with 90 people but ended up with 75 in attendance which was good as the banquet room would have been really crowded.

But we did miss those people who could not make it.

I managed to get portrait type photos with our sign and balloons of all the classmates like mine and Jerry's in the thumbnail.     The lighting was not great but I think everyone will enjoy having their photo.  I can email these along with a group photo to each person attending as we have the email addresses.    We all came home with a travel coffee tumbler with the Wildcat logo.   A good useful remembrance.

The biggest question at the end of the night was " When are we going to do this again? and Let's not wait 10 years to do this again!"     So the committee had been making rumbles about a springtime 70th birthday party next year.

Lots of work for a four hour event but so worth it.
