Spurn Lighthouse

A visit to Yorkshire's newish island created in 2013 when a tidal surge washed away the road and breached the sand spit. We walked the 4 miles to Spurn Point where we sat on driftwood to eat our sandwiches and watch the ships enter and leave the Humber Estuary. As the tide was out we had a lovely walk back along the hard sand of the eastern shore.
