More roadworks

Woke up this morning to a bit of noise outside. The people opposite are having a driveway installed over the pavement. Planning permission was sought last summer.
We wanted to do that 30 years ago but the planning application way back then made it far too expensive. We had to submit plans of the front elevation to the house, seek permission from the ordinance survey people as well as the local authority and county council!! The reason - it was a B road which has since been declassified . We won’t bother now. We will just drive over the pavement if and when we need to use that exit, thankfully we have two entrances for our modest little house.
Another PCR done this morning which means another 4 days of isolation.
