Frederick Douglass

This is some street art commemorating Frederick Douglass, a black African American freedom fighter (and ex slave). It appeared in late September 2020 and I didn’t know it was there until Saturday when I ran past it during the city orienteering. I went back this afternoon to take a proper look. It was painted by TrenchOne as a tribute to Douglass who lived nearby in 1846 when he was campaigning against slavery. More details can be found here.

Best on black.

Today’s entry on the Abstract Fiesta journal is reflections.
