Full house

Usual sort of a Monday…dropped A at work then into the office til lunchtime, having a 1-2-1 with L and a few online meetings, then home to let Paisley out then work on through a series of online meetings, reading shortlisting materials and planning for a board meeting later this week.
Phone call at lunchtime with a shortlisted candidate which was interesting but not hugely inspiring….we’ll see!
Once A was back she had supper and we chatted about our days, her fears that she’s put on weight since she moved in (wouldn’t be surprised…I’m a feeder!) and the fact that it’s 2 years ago this weekend that the first Covid case was reported in Edinburgh….crikey!
Down to Hazelh’s for book group hosted by Winsford. Lovely to see everyone there…we could all attend this time and luckily the indoor mixing restrictions were lifted this morning so it was good to meet and talk about the book O Caledonia which we all loved (despite the very sad story). As well as talking about the book we chatted on about Ted talks, architects, orc fighting, hob replacement, Spanish trips, retirement plans and Budapest (and lots more!).
It had been C’s birthday last week so it’s her hands presenting dessert of a chocolate almond cake with raspberries…delicious!
