Vert Wood

This morning I took the spaniel over to Rowland Wood and Park Corner Heath for a change of scene. These adjoining reserves are remnants of the once great Vert Woods. It was rather eerie, still and utterly deserted. If Excalibur had appeared in the lake I wouldn't have been surprised.
